Karen Colonias, CEO Simpson Strong-Tie Company

Ms. Colonias has been the chief executive officer and president at Simpson Strong-Tie Manufacturing Co., Inc. since January 2012. She served as the chief financial officer, treasurer and secretary of Simpson Manufacturing Co., Inc. and vice president and branch manager of Simpson Strong-Tie Company Inc. Ms. Colonias has also served as the branch manager of Simpson Strong-Tie's manufacturing facility in Stockton, California.

She joined Simpson Strong-Tie in 1984 as an engineer in the research and development department, where she was responsible for the design and testing of new products and code development. Since 1998, she served as Vice President of Engineering at Simpson Strong-Tie and is responsible for Simpson Strong-Tie's research and development efforts. She served as a civil engineer for the Bechtel Corporation and is also a licensed professional engineer. She has been a Director of Simpson Manufacturing Co., Inc. since July 17, 2013. Ms. Colonias has a BS in Engineering and an MBA.
