Mireia Luzarraga’s body of work has inaugurated paths for architectural design to address intersecting critical priorities. With a strong focus on fostering more democratic environments, post-anthropocentric ecologies, and egalitarian societies, she incorporates feminist thought, and queer and posthuman studies into a practice that produces buildings, installations, furniture, exhibitions, and books. Luzárraga is founder and principal of TAKK Architecture, with Alejandro Muiño, a research-driven design office based in Barcelona and New York. TAKK’s work includes projects for the Musée Cantonal de Design et d’Arts Appliqués Contemporains in Lausanne, Instituto Valenciano de Arte Moderno IVAM, and the Centro de Arte Santa Mónica in Barcelona, among others. She is also an Assistant Professor at Columbia GSAPP, where she coordinates the Master of Architecture Core I studios.
